This project focuses on the municipality of Eindhoven and subsequently also on the adjacent municipalities in South East Brabant (SRE).

Together we are stronger
In the same way as farmers helped each other within a cooperative to stand more strongly on their own two feet, the parties linked to care, living and wellbeing must also go in search of each other. Not just for the benefit of the elderly but also for other people who wish to use all types of simple teleservices. That is the opinion of Brainport Health Innovation (BHI). This organisation focuses on collaboration together with housing associations and care and knowledge institutions. Common interests have the highest priority.

This collaboration must provide the best assistance for the most competitive rates. There is, therefore, room for straightforward competition within the partnership. But also for joint investments. Combining know-how and budgets will guarantee a high level of efficiency that will benefit all parties.

Key features
Essence of the project: Brainport and the partners wish to ensure that people can continue to live in their own homes and neighbourhoods by deploying ICT applications, i.e. remote (care) services. At the place where they feel at home and safe ensuring that they are not forced to say goodbye to their familiar surroundings linked to their social networks that took them so many years to build.
• The project offers a menu with services to 2,000 households in Eindhoven on the basis of preferences and requirements of clients. A few examples of available services are: a care service alerting system, contact with informal carers and formal care providers, security services in and around the home, messaging service and financial and legal advice.
• Strength of this project: it continues to develop based on the ample experiences in South East Brabant with regard to image links and other ICT applications in the care sector. Combining knowledge and experience is the engine behind this. Different suppliers of products and services can hook up because of the open nature of the ICT system.
• The project partners are looking for solutions in ICT applications to increase the independence of the elderly, chronically ill and disabled. This will ensure that they can stay at home for longer by using many different types of services.
