Spatial planning

The provincial government is the major authority in terms of the spatial planning in Brabant; this encompasses where people live and work, the structures that are built, and the scope of areas designated for wildlife.

New quarter

The regional structure vision serves as one of the mainstays, which includes the provincial vision of spatial planning in Brabant.

Large province
With a population of approximately 2.5 million and an area of some five thousand square kilometres, Brabant is one of the largest Dutch provinces, and is known for its urban mosaic structure.

Careful planning
Although there is a high degree of urbanisation, careful spatial planning and even distribution of the built-up areas has ensured that important topographical values have been maintained. In other words, Noord-Brabant boasts some particularly attractive scenery.
